Valentine's Tea

Abby and some of her classmates!

Singing!

Each 1st grader was asked to invite a friend or family member that had been or is a soldier. We have a friend, Craig, who is pictured here with Abby that was her guest for the tea. Abby was so glad that he was able to take off work to enjoy the program they had worked so hard on.

Here is Kirin and Abby in front of the big American Flag that the 1st graders had made with their own handprints. As you can see, it was enormous! Abby's handprints are some of the hands on the bottom 3 stripes.

The Tea was a huge success. Being a room mom, there was alot that goes into throwing a wonderful party. We had more then enough help and it went flawlessly. God worked in that room, I could feel it. The kids presented the gospel through their songs and enthusiasm. I am so thankful that Abby is able to express so freely her relationship with God at school. What a blessing!

The Crabs are gone. :-(

For those of you that have kept up with the adventures - a little while ago I did a post that involved some new crab additions to our family. Well about a week before Christmas Hunter and I went to go clean out the cage and all four of the crabs were dead. I'm not sure what happened to them. Dave seems to think that it just got too cold in Hunter's room for them. Hunter was a tad bit sad, but he wasn't "crushed" which was good.

There is a funny side to this. One of Hunter's crabs had the name Josh. He named all of his crabs after his friends. The day that Josh and the other crabs had died - Dave was pulling into the garage after work and Hunter wanted to tell daddy right away that the crabs had died. So as Dave is getting out of his truck, Hunter yells, "Daddy, Josh is dead!" Picture this in your head - Dave is thinking that Hunter is talking about his human friend Josh and not the crab. So I don't think I have ever seen Dave so shocked and panicky before I told him it was the crab not the friend! So, there is a new rule in our house - no more animals can be named after any of the kids' friends. Hee Hee!

Christmas morning!

This year we were able to all stay in our p.j.'s for the day. We had no where to be, so we opened gifts and lounged with all our new toys all day. It was probably one of the most relaxing Christmas' yet!

Christmas with Nana and Papa!

We all had a really good time together on Christmas Eve. Despite Hunter throwing up that morning and being really drained, the anticipation of opening gifts got him all fired up!

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa!

We all had a great time! Abby and Grandpa got cozy with Grandpa's new blanket.

Christmas Cookies

This year I did the baking and let Dave and the kids have at it with the frosting. They had a blast and I think that they are all getting old enough that this will be a yearly thing. Dave had a good time too as you can see! :-)

Christmas Program

Abby and her friend Riley were all smiles during the Christmas program at Berean. They both did such a good job - singing pretty!
